At SPS Italy the focus was on Drives, Motion, Controls and Robotics

In May 28-30, during the SPS (Smart Production Solutions) event, Yaskawa had been at Fiere di Parma, showcasing its latest technological innovations and offerings in the Drive, Motion, Control and Robotics fields.

Like last year, the spotlight was on innovations in the iCube Control automation platform, an end-to-end solution technically coordinated for industry-specific controllers, from engineering software and controller hardware to embedded chip technology. Indeed, it was through its enabling i3- technology – where the 3 i’s stand for integrated, intelligent and innovative – that Yaskawa is providing the industry with smart, digital, flexible solutions and, accordingly, sustainable digitization by meeting the demands of 5.0 industry.

Significant attention was also paid to the new LA inverters for lift applications, which ensure reliability and maximum ‘travel’ comfort for new installations and lift-specific modernizations. Since the LA series can be quickly and easily integrated into existing systems, installation time and costs are greatly reduced. In addition to the innovative LA500 series, Yaskawa has also showcased the latest generation of LA700 inverters. Powerful, flexible, and high performing, the new units can be programmed and monitored remotely via a specific app.

The result of Yaskawa’s decades of experience in the field of crane drives, the new inverter CR700 improves productivity, reduces energy and overall costs, enables preventive maintenance measures, and increases environmental sustainability. In addition, our engineers showcased the inverters for industrial applications GA500 and GA700, which offer great flexibility, small size, and features that allow effortless integration into almost any application.

Also, some of Yaskawa's energy saving offerings were also represented – the D1000 and R1000 regenerative solutions – suitable for use whenever a solution capable of supplying power to a motor and recovering braking energy to power other loads is needed – which is a testament to our ongoing commitment to promoting and creating social value and sustainability through its business.

Also worth mentioning are the 'made in Europe’ robots of the Yaskawa Motoman family, which are widely used in numerous applications. Moreover, after the great success enjoyed at the Mecspe event, the robotic bar by S.E A. Tech Srl was showcased, including a robotic bartender ready to serve cocktails.

Finally, once again this year, collaboration within Yaskawa was highlighted by the different divisions of the Group sharing a booth, where visitors had the opportunity to engage with the company's experts to get a comprehensive overview of its offerings, including drives, motion, controls, and robots, all optimized to work best in combination with each other.

They were joined in the booth by Vipa Italy and for the first time by Yaskawa Italy’s Sales Partners: Maple, Acts, Erregiemme, Motion Control Device, Promotech, Scale, Tecnomedia and A.I. Automazione Industriale S.r.l.
