Summer edition: The 11th edition of the European Engineers Conference [EEC] took place 27th and 28th, July 2021

More than 45 fully motivated Yaskawa engineers attended the event, which was once again held as an online event.

The range of topics was wide: From an introduction to the Ecodesign Directive and our activities to comply with it, a general overview of the ongoing motion projects, to the presentation of the product range of our Environmental Energy division "The Switch" in Finland and deep insights into the servopacks, the engineers could expect concentrated information.

Furthermore, the attendees could have a look at the improvements of the Movicon PLCi Driver and got a sneak peak of the engineering software of the new i³ controller. On the topic of EtherCat servopack, the complete range of applications was shown using application examples and valuable tips & tricks were shared. In addition, the simple and fast "marriage" of motion and control was demonstrated using the Sigma7 Servopack as an example, using Speed7 Studio software. Interesting applications and success stories were also presented by several Yaskawa country organizations (YCOs).

The EEC provides an opportunity for Yaskawa engineers from across Europe to meet and exchange information on a regular basis. In conjunction with the monthly YCO meetings, these events are important to align our activities and improve our knowledge through exchange.
