Yaskawa at the Elevator Industry Networking Event in Hamburg

Airports, shopping centers and even water companies: the places and ways in which elevator systems are used are many and varied but always very challenging. The equipment must be able to handle all of these challenges at every stage, during planning, installation, servicing and in day-to-day operation.

The event's program not only included a visit to the production facility but also covered topics such as the basics of escalators, innovations, cyber security, braking systems and much more, not forgetting the very latest drive systems.

Our colleagues gave 15-minute presentations at the event in Hamburg. Sven Meth spoke on the first day of the event, in front of a German-speaking audience, and Adrian Lischka spoke on the second, international day. They were able to show how drive technology with inverter-controlled motors plays a decisive role in creating an elevator system with the required passenger comfort, reliability and energy-efficiency. Our colleagues gave convincing presentations about Yaskawa technology and impressive examples showing how Yaskawa components can contribute to making elevators more energy-efficient and reliable.

Our elevator-specific LA500 and LA700 frequency convertors are the ideal choice. They can be integrated in existing elevator systems quickly and easily, saving both time and money during installation. And our U1000 MATRIX drive (a real rarity in the industry), working as a highly efficient direct-acting converter, not only makes it possible to recover the electrical power generated by downwards movement, but also improves the quality of the grid power.
