The servo float function lets your robot hover
The "Servo Float" function enables flexible control of the robot's position and attitude by reacting to externally applied forces. This function allows robot positions to be overwritten (reteach), taking current offset values into account. It can be activated for any axis or coordinate system and is particularly important when integrating robots into injection molding or extrusion systems. When the injection mold expands, the motors of the 6-axis robot switch to "soft" and provide the mass with sufficient clearance.

Media packages
Yaskawa offers additional media packages for the entire robot portfolio for all applications. These media packages are fitted directly to the robot before delivery according to customer requirements. As standard, the media connections are pluggable at the lower end of the robot and are supplied with the corresponding mating connectors. The upper end is supplied open with a cable or hose length of one meter. Intermediate flanges specific to the respective robot type can be added as an option. If required, additional media can be put together individually. Some media packages are already preconfigured and can be ordered directly without additional coordination. Replacement packages are also available for all existing media packages.
Software
MotoLogix is a software interface for teaching and programming robots using PLC function blocks.
No handheld control units or specific Yaskawa robotics knowledge is required to program, test or operate the robot. All data is stored in the PLC and is also started and stopped from there. Although the robot's control cabinet is still present, it is no longer used for programming, but only for path planning of the robot movements specified by the PLC and for accommodating the required servo hardware and power supply. Therefore, the full path and speed performance of the MOTOMAN robots is maintained when using MotoLogix.
