MotoPlus SDK

Overview

The MotoPlus SDK is a software package for developing extension modules (MotoPlus high-level language apps) for MOTOMAN controllers. User-defined modules extend the functionality of MOTOMAN robot controllers with functions that are not available with the standard Inform/Ladder command set. Corresponding modules enable, for example, communication protocols to other devices, complex mathematical calculations, etc.
The extension modules are created on the PC in a development environment (e.g. VisualStudio, programming language C and C++) and integrated in compiled form. By passing them on in compiled form, it is possible to encapsulate the functionality and thus protect intellectual property. The control resources (such as variables, IO signals, files, etc.) are accessed via a powerful API. In addition, a wide range of libraries from VxWorks, C Standard, Open Source etc. are available.
The SDK can be seamlessly integrated into the Visual Studio IDE via a plug-in. This means that the MotoPlus modules on the controller can be managed directly in the development environment. Of course, standard features such as IntelliSense are also available. Alternatively, the separate MotoPlus IDE can be used.

Robot controllers on which the custom applications are to run require MotoPlus Runtime as a runtime environment.
